Healthy Eating
During meal times the children come together either in the Treetops hall or in our kitchen. We believe that mealtimes provide an opportunity for children to develop social skills and independence. After positive feedback from our parents we made the decision in Summer 2019 to become a vegetarian and vegan nursery, preparing all food in-house.
All staff hold a Food Hygiene Certificate and are trained in safe food handling techniques.

We are proud to have received a 5 Star Food Hygiene rating and a Gold Healthy Choice Award from Brighton and Hove Food Partnership.
Supervised Tooth Brushing
We’re proud to work closely with the Oral Health Team from the Special Care Dental Service to support good dental hygiene at nursery.
Each child is provided with their own toothbrush and toothpaste, and brushing is closely supervised by our staff to ensure children are brushing effectively.
To keep things fresh and hygienic, your child will receive a new, named toothbrush each term, which we’ll store safely here at nursery.
